The Surdna Foundation today announced that Judilee Reed has been named the director of the Creative Communities program at the William Penn Foundation, a family-governed institution committed to improving education, ensuring a sustainable environment, and fostering creative communities in the Greater Philadelphia region.

While at Surdna, Judilee led the Thriving Cultures program to develop conditions that support artists and arts and culture organizations as catalysts for equitable economic growth, improved environmental infrastructure, and cultural diversity in communities across the United States.

“Judilee has reshaped the Thriving Cultures team during her six-year tenure,” said Phillip Henderson president of the Surdna Foundation. “We are excited for Judilee as she pursues this new opportunity and applies her creative mind to the arts and culture community in the Philadelphia region.”
