Julia serves as the Office Manager and Benefits Coordinator at the Surdna Foundation.
She manages the Foundation’s facilities to ensure efficient office operations, supply management, and front desk responsibilities. She is the liaison between foundation staff and guests and is integral in maintaining the Foundation’s professional image. She also provides administrative support to the Director of People & Culture and is pivotal in assisting staff with benefits/coverage-related issues.
Before joining Surdna in 2016, Julia worked for 13 years at Unipart Services America, a logistics company, and gained valuable experience in relationship building, problem-solving techniques, and organization and time management skills.
As a leader in corporate social responsibility, she’s rolled out cost reductions and recycling programs to eliminate waste from processes. She gained 100% employee engagement in charity fundraisers and events, with donated proceeds to organizations such as Operation Smile, Mahwah Food Bank, American Red Cross, Salvation Army, and Operation Shoe Box.
Julia has served on two committees for the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce, focusing on raising funds for underserved communities and families in need.
Outside the office, Julia’s passion has grown in the arts, where she studies figurative sculpting in clay and stone and is hands-on in creating her own works.
