Bria Graham Appointed to Senior Program Associate
The Surdna Foundation today is pleased to appoint Bria Graham to senior program associate for the Inclusive Economies Program.
Since joining Surdna in 2022, Bria has been critical in supporting the Inclusive Economies team’s investment in an inclusive and equitable economy where people of color can maximize their potential as leaders, creators, and innovators across sectors. In her role, Bria oversees the team’s daily workflow and program budget, builds relationships with grantees, and supports internal and external engagements such as town halls, partner events, and representing Surdna on the LIFT Fund steering committee.
“Congratulations to Bria on a well-deserved promotion,” said Danielle LeBlanc, program officer of the Inclusive Economies team. “Her dedication to grantees and inclusive approach makes her a great partner in this work.”
Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Bria is greatly interested in the prosperity and well-being of diverse communities, particularly in the South. Prior to Surdna, Bria served as the program coordinator for the Gullah Geechee Cultural Heritage Corridor Commission, working closely with communities along the coastal regions of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and North Carolina in their efforts to preserve and uplift the Gullah Geechee people’s important contributions throughout the corridor.
“I am thankful to be working at Surdna, where my personal values and commitments are reflected in the work and aligned with the grantees we support,” said Bria. “I’m excited to step into this new role, where I can continue connecting, learning, and sharing knowledge with people from all backgrounds, building meaningful relationships.”
Bria is currently pursuing a master’s in public administration at Baruch College to deepen her understanding of the ways that policy can catalyze social change. Learn more about Bria.
